Balloons Outdoors

Posted on August 28, 2023

Recently a client called for a 48ft arch to be outside on a day when the temperatures were predicted to be in the upper 90s. The arch needed to go up about 1pm and come down after 5pm. So the arch would be outside in during the hotest part of the day.  When we retruned to strike, no balloons had popped and the arch still looked beautiful! Why did the balloons last?

1. The client had requested black and red. We advised her to choose a lighter color than black, so she went with white. (Darker colors absorb more heat)
2. We only buy quality balloons that have tested well in extreme temperatures.
3. We prep our balloons to strengthen them when we know they will be in extreme temperatures.
4. We inflate with nitrogen, not air.
5. We installed as close as possible to the event time.
When ordering balloons for an outdoor event, discuss with your balloon professional what brand of balloons will be used and if that is a top quality brand. Ask the balloon artist if they treat the balloons to help strengthen them and what gas they will be using for inflation. Request your set-up be as close to the event time as possible.
We cannot guarantee these amazing results against the extreme temperatures, but we can guarantee that we will do everything in our power to provide these results. The rest is up to Mother Nature!
